Primal Sling

Product Description

Built for durability, designed for performance.

A robust, minimalist sling made from a single, seamless spliced Dyneema line (4 mm at its thickest), with a slightly tapered release end.

In slinging, cord thickness is a trade-off between speed and consistency. Thinner cords are more efficient, but they can be harder to control. The Primal Sling is designed to maintain that efficiency while preserving the ease of use and control of a heavier sling, thanks to tight splicing and the zero stretch of Dyneema fibers.

The fibers are set under tension at a 45° bias, creating high torsional stiffness that improves spin control and overall handling. Slick and aerodynamic, the design efficiently channels energy into the projectile.

With a rated load of over 700 kg, it offers strength far beyond the demands of slinging. Made from 100% UHMWPE, a fiber known for exceptional tensile strength, zero stretch, and high abrasion resistance.

Key Features

  • Double Fingerloop — Sliding, adjustable loop reinforced with high-tensioned UHMWPE cobra weave for comfort and durability.
  • Split Pouch — Seamless design reinforced with high-tensioned UHMWPE cobra weave. Conforms to projectiles and holds sizes ranging from a tennis ball down to a lead glande.
  • Tapered Release Cord — Slight taper inside the release cord ensures a smooth, sharp crack during a clean release.
  • Release End — Double-stopper knot with removable Dyneema cracker for easy replacement or customization.
  • Seamless Spliced Body — One continuous line spliced into itself forms the body of the sling. A seamless, low profile, zero stretch solution with excellent torsional stiffness.
  • Efficient Minimalist Design — No excess material, only what is necessary.
  • High-Capacity Strength — Rated up to 700 kg, offering strength far beyond practical slinging applications.
  • Material — 100% UHMWPE fibers provide exceptional strength, durabiltiy and zero stretch.

What’s in the Box

Choosing the Right Sling Size

Sling length affects both accuracy and speed.

Shorter slings are easier to control and typically more accurate.
Longer slings generate more speed and power but require more space and skill to handle.

A great all-around length is the distance from your hand to the ground when standing upright with your arm relaxed at your side.

This gives you a balanced mix of control and power — perfect for beginners and experienced slingers alike.

Notes

-Primal slings are dipped in melted beeswax to lubricate the fibers, protect the dyneema's coloring and greatly improve abrasion resistance. This process significantly extends the sling’s lifespan; however, some wax residue may be visible when the sling is new. This disapears after a few slinging sessions.

-We recommend applying beeswax to the wear points of the sling as part of a regular maintenance routine to maximise its lifespan.
